  • Site Presentation

    The Site aims to provide practical information on Zanzibar and to connect French-speaking travelers with local service providers (guides, drivers, agencies, accommodations, excursions).
    By accessing the Site, the user unconditionally accepts these General Terms of Use (GTU).

  • Purpose of the GTU

These GTU define:

  • the conditions of access and use of the Site;

  • the role of GuideZanzibar in making connections;

  • the respective responsibilities of the Site publisher and users.
    Any use of the Site implies full and complete acceptance of these GTU.

  1. Role of GuideZanzibar
    GuideZanzibar:

  • is not a travel agency in the legal sense;

  • does not sell stays, flights, or services in its own name via the Site;

  • primarily acts as an information and connection platform with independent local providers (guides, drivers, excursions, hosts).
    Service contracts (excursions, transfers, accommodations, etc.) are concluded directly between the traveler and the local provider.
    Consequently:

  • GuideZanzibar is not a party to the contract between the traveler and the provider;

  • GuideZanzibar does not handle any payments on the Site and does not receive amounts paid for local services;

  • booking, cancellation, and refund conditions are the sole responsibility of the relevant providers.

  • Site Access

    The Site is freely accessible to any user with internet access.
    Costs related to access (connection, equipment, software) are borne by the user.
    GuideZanzibar endeavors to ensure the Site's availability 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, but cannot guarantee:

  • absence of interruptions,

  • absence of technical anomalies,

  • absence of viruses or other IT risks.
    The publisher reserves the right to suspend or modify Site access for maintenance or updates, without notice or compensation.

  • Site Use

The user undertakes to:

  • use the Site fairly and in compliance with applicable laws;

  • confirm prices and conditions directly with local providers before any booking.
    GuideZanzibar cannot be held responsible for decisions based solely on Site information.

    Local providers (guides, drivers, hotels, agencies, excursion organizers, etc.) are legally distinct companies or independents from GuideZanzibar.
    GuideZanzibar:

  • does not guarantee the availability, prices, or quality of these providers' services;

  • cannot be held responsible for disputes, delays, cancellations, damages, accidents, or harm resulting from a service by a third-party provider;

  • intervenes, if necessary, only as an informal facilitator or mediator, without legal commitment to results.
    Users are invited to verify:

  • reviews,

  • sales conditions,

  • insurance,
    directly with providers before confirmation.

  • Financial Transactions

    No financial transactions are carried out via guidezanzibar.com.
    Payments (deposits, balances, etc.) are made directly:

  • to the local provider,

  • by agreed means (cash, transfer, mobile money, third-party payment link, etc.).
    Consequently:

  • GuideZanzibar does not collect or refund amounts paid by travelers to providers;

  • any refund request or financial dispute must be addressed directly to the provider, per their conditions.

  • Intellectual Property

    Unless otherwise stated, all Site elements (texts, images, videos, logos, graphic charter, editorial content, PDF guides, etc.) are the exclusive property of GuideZanzibar or subject to a usage license.
    Any reproduction, representation, modification, distribution, or exploitation, in whole or in part, without prior written authorization, is prohibited and may constitute infringement.
    Users may however:

  • Applicable Law and Competent Jurisdiction

In case of dispute and absent amicable resolution, competent courts will be those of the publisher's headquarters jurisdiction, except for mandatory contrary legal provisions.
